Congratulations to our CRHS varsity girls soccer team on an excellent season! They played an intense playoff game on Friday, losing to Bo Manor High School by 4-3. Mrs. Smith's AP Chemistry students analyzed metallic elements using flame tests and spectroscopy to determine what elements are used to make various colors of fireworks! They then related the change in the energy of the electrons in the element to the wavelength and frequency of the light produced. #ColonelTOUGH
Ms. Towers' American Government students visited Tuckahoe State Park with Pickering Creek! The students had the opportunity to visualize and learn about the effect of natural forces on sediments, creating erosion issues to non-stabilized materials, as well as the effect of human interaction and development on that process. In addition, students were able to learn about invasive flora and fauna and their impact on the native plants and animals of our region, as well as the efforts to eradicate these threats. They also got to participate in getting rid of invasive species in the nearby area. #ColonelTOUGH

Mrs. Verdery's Teacher Academy of Maryland students visited Chesapeake College to learn about educational programs at Chesapeake College, how to pay for college, student life at Chesapeake College, and the Salisbury University pathway for education majors! #ColonelTOUGH
Congratulations to the CRHS varsity football team for their 60-14 win over Nandua High School! Junior Bradley Thomas started the game with a 55 yard touchdown run. On the first play of second drive, senior Tarron Hammond threw a 85 yard touchdown pass to senior Dominique Caven. On the next drive, Hammond connected with junior Derrick Mitchell on a 55 yard touchdown pass. Senior EJ Jones had two touchdown runs for 27 and 21 yards, and senior Chris Rockwell had a 7 yard touchdown run. Senior Carter Turbitt had a 10 yard touchdown run, and sophomore Stephen Jones capped the night off with a 14 yard touchdown run. #ColonelTOUGH #homegrown
