Ms. Jones' Environmental Earth Science students explored the impact of human and natural disturbances on the surrounding environment, as well as examining early, middle, and late succession vegetative growth with a visit to Pickering Creek! Students also had the opportunity to get a hands-on look at wetlands, their contribution to the environment, and some of the important species in our wetlands. #ColonelTOUGH

This week, Mrs. Burkett's AP English Language & Composition students participated in a class debate as part of their Argument Unit. Students had to research the pros and cons of 12 topics and then debate one chosen at random. Students did an excellent job preparing, researching, and articulating their arguments, but there can only be one title "The Greatest Debater!" Tomorrow, CRHS varsity baseball and softball teams are hosting North Dorchester High School at 9 AM for make up games. We are also hosting the Merrill Morgan Memorial 5K that morning, so baseball and softball fans should arrive by 8:45 AM to avoid delays. Park in front of middle school, and leave the bus lot clear. Extra parking can be done in front of high school.

This year’s contestants are Ms. Dennis, Mr. Newberry, and Mr. Oberdorf. Whoever has the most money in his or her mason jar will have to kiss a pig at Tractor Day on April 12th!
